We are seeking a motivated individual for a six-month part-time (50%) Teaching Fellow post. In the course of providing teaching support for Undergraduate and Masters level education, the position is designed to support personal development in teaching and scholarship through mentorship, training and a broad experience of the delivery of high quality education. The post ideally would commence 1st September 2025.
This position is designed for individuals who are keen to build their experience and further develop their skills in teaching and learning. The School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN) delivers an extensive programme of teaching and learning, including undergraduate education in medical sciences, medicine and dentistry to around 2000 students and a broad range of high quality Masters programmes. Teaching is delivered on our Aberdeen Foresterhill campus, Old Aberdeen campus on-line, or in a blended mode.
The post holders will be provided with supervision, mentorship and a scheduled programme of activities designed to give wide experience and understanding of what is required in the delivery of high-quality education.
The post holders will contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience by delivering, organising and reviewing teaching, assessment and administration processes associated with various programs and have the opportunity to undertake scholarship to enhance learning and teaching www.abdn.ac.uk/iahs/research/postgraduate-education/overview.php
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6, 50% of £38,249 per annum, pro rata.
