Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

We invite applications for a permanent position at the rank of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding scholar to contribute to the development of our Innovation and Entrepreneurship team within the broader Management group in the Department of Management, Marketing & Tourism. The group has a strong focus on innovative practices and the entrepreneurial capability in bicultural Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally, that meets the University’s strategic mission of ‘engaging, empowering and making a difference’. Applicants conducting empirical research across any functional domain within the innovation and entrepreneurship field will be considered.

Mōu | Who You Are

Applicants should have Ph.D. in a subject relevant to the position (applicants close to finalising their Ph.D. will also be considered). Applicants should demonstrate a strong record of publications in internationally recognised high-quality academic journals, some experience in the supervision of thesis students (commensurate with the academic rank being applied for) and have good teaching skills. Some experience in academic leadership and in securing research grants is desirable (again, commensurate with rank). Applicants should have experience and/or be willing to teach introductory and advanced courses in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates with teaching and research experience in International Entrepreneurship, Startup Entrepreneurship, Indigenous and Minority Entrepreneurship or Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship, will be favourably considered for the position.

You will be comfortable in working situations that require adaptability as we transform our teaching via judicious use of digital technology, and have an open-minded viewpoint that respects biculturalism, diversity, and inclusion.

This role sits within the Academic Staff, Associated Staff and Academic Support Staff Collective Agreement and the following salary scale applies: Lecturer $92,334-$111,388 p.a, Senior Lecturer $117,241-$146,869 p.a.
