We are seeking a team leader who will manage front of house reception at Begbroke Science Park, providing a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times. The University of Oxford Science Park at Begbroke is a cross-departmental research facility with office/laboratory space for both research groups and high-tech science-based businesses and spinouts which is entering a new phase of ambitious development and growth, with the vision of becoming an innovation district.
In this new role, you will manage the day to day running of reception. Working with the reception team, you are the first point of contact for people visiting the Science Park. Site reception is based in the Centre for Innovation and Enterprise. It is essential that you are welcoming with a smart and professional image. You will effectively manage a small team to undertake a range of reception and related admin duties, including responding to telephone and email enquiries, greeting visitors, taking meeting room bookings, receiving goods inwards as well as call handling for the serviced office accommodation of our client companies.
You will possess effective line management skills together with proven experience in a busy, customer-facing reception role. You will lead the recruitment, induction and training of new reception staff and maintain operational cover during periods of absence. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, a polite and courteous manner, and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people. You will enjoy working as part of a friendly team and be able to problem solve and provide solutions as required.
This is a full time, permanent role, working 36.5 hours per week on site.
