About the Role 

  • We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to oversee and coach our Research Computing teams (expected to focus on Trusted Research Environment (TRE) and RFS (Research File Service) in delivering platforms and services through a product mindset approach and a discipline of continual improvement.
  • As the University transitions to product delivery as part of a digital transformation initiative, this role will be critical to ensuring the TRE and RFS teams have optimised ways of working and supporting tools in place to fulfil the vision of the products, platforms and services.
  • The successful candidate will have responsibility for liaising between technical and non-technical teams, managing stakeholder expectations, communicating at different levels of the University, whilst enabling effective, agile change management in response to user requirements.

About You 

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Substantial experience as an agile delivery manager or similar within a digital service or product management context
  • Understanding in depth of continual service improvement methodologies and toolsets (e.g. AgilePM, Scrum, Kanban, or Lean), preferably within an IT service management environment.
  • Experience of the configuration and use of tools, such as Azure DevOps, for the management of backlogs, roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, planning, and reviews.
  • Proven engagement, influencing and negotiation skills, applicable to working with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the presentation of complex ideas to audiences both technical and non-technical, and the production of accurate written documentation.
