About the Role
The Senior Lecturer will contribute to the intellectual life of the Department, focusing particularly on teaching and research in the field of Law of Obligations (with particular emphasis on Tort Law), and contributing to other teaching activities within the Department as needed.
The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London.
It is full-time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of early 2026.
About You
You will have a PhD, or relevant professional qualification, or equivalent professional experience, and a track-record of high-quality research, including publications in national and international journals, with clear and ambitious plans for future research. You will have experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level and an understanding of student support. A higher education teaching accreditation is desirable.

The School of Law is one of eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and has two organisational units: the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). Established in 1965, the Department of Law runs thriving undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has a well-established international reputation for innovative research.
