Are you an Event Venues Coordinator ready to deliver exceptional customer experience in some of Oxford’s most iconic spaces?
Join the Oxford University Event Venues (OUEV) team in Estates Services and play a key role in managing and delivering outstanding events.
About Us
Spanning the historic streets of the "city of dreaming spires," the University of Oxford has been ranked the world’s leading university for nine consecutive years. A place where centuries of tradition meet world-changing innovation, we offer you the chance to shape the future while working in an inspiring environment that promotes excellence.
Oxford University Event Venues (OUEV), manages a portfolio of unique and historic spaces; the Sheldonian Theatre, the Examination Schools, St Luke’s Chapel, Osler House, and the University Club. We deliver exceptional experiences, be that providing venue services to external customers, supporting university events and ceremonial occasions, and opening our spaces as visitor attractions.
About the Role
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll manage events on behalf of the venue from initial enquiry to delivery and post-event follow-up, ensuring every detail is taken care of. You’ll coordinate a diverse mix of events (including conferences, dinners, parties, meetings, weddings, performances, filming and more) across multiple venues, developing bespoke proposals, conducting site visits, and providing exceptional customer service throughout, ensuring sales targets are met.
You will act as duty manager during events - including evenings and weekends - supervising staff, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring that everything runs safely and seamlessly. This is a hands-on role where you’ll ensure venues are prepared, oversee operations on the day, and maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance – and overall, service.
You’ll work in some of Oxford’s most beautiful historic buildings, with opportunities to develop your skills and experience, build relationships across the University and beyond, and grow your professional network through national partnerships - all in an environment that truly prioritises your wellbeing and development.
