The role
We are seeking to appoint a Research Quality Officer as part of the Research Governance Team. The Team is based within the Division of Research, Enterprise and Innovation, and supports staff and students on how to set up and conduct research projects that involve human participants, their tissue and/or data. Working with colleagues in the Team, as well as collaborating NHS organisations and regulatory bodies, you will become a subject matter expert on our processes.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for co-ordinating the development and maintenance of the Team’s processes and procedures which will support the work of the team. This will involve preparing clear, concise and accessible documents, recommending updates and communicating these to the relevant audiences. You will maintain an ongoing review of national requirements, primarily in relation to health and social care research, and develop relationships with external partners.
