An exciting opportunity has become available for a clinical midwife who is interested in working in Higher Education.
The secondment/ Fixed term contract will enable the successful applicant to experience all areas of the midwifery Lecturer role, under the guidance of our expert midwifery team. The applicant will be expected to engage in all areas of the midwifery lecturer role, including theory and skills-based teaching and to provide pastoral care for students. The successful applicant will also be allocated a practice site to support students in the practice environment.
The Person
You will have an excellent reputation in the profession and a proven track record of professional practice with an interest or experience in teaching, education or research. You will be expected to support us to deliver Kingston University's Town House Strategy, contribute to the department’s teaching and learning portfolio, and the delivery of our wide-ranging education provision with support from our experienced lecturing team.
The role also requires effective collaborate with colleagues both within the department, and the school. Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they meet the Kingston University values, as we are proud to be an ambitious, inclusive, innovative, and enterprising organisation.

This is a part time (22.20 hours per week), fixed-term position for 11 months with a starting salary of £26,642.40 per annum (60% pro rata to £44,404 per annum).

This post is available as a result of maternity leave and it is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the substantive post-holder on maternity leave exercise their right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month.
