About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a Research Proposal Coordinator to join the Research Services team in the Faculty of Engineering. The post will play a crucial role in providing frontline support to academic staff in developing and submitting externally funded research grant and contract applications.
The Faculty of Engineering and its ten constituent departments are consistently ranked in the top ten engineering and technology schools in the world. Our departments carry out world-leading research in Aeronautics, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computing, Dyson School of Design Engineering, Earth Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Materials and Mechanical Engineering.

We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and substantial experience of university research and finance administration including costing & pricing, the application processes, and knowledge of Funder policies, terms and conditions.
The successful candidate will thrive in a busy environment; working well under pressure, often to tight deadlines, and able to respond effectively when faced with changing priorities and managing a large number of proposals simultaneously. You will also need excellent numeracy skills and meticulous attention to detail with the ability to analyse and think creatively to find viable solutions.
