Location - Flexible. Primary base could be anywhere in the UK but must be willing and able to travel to London. Newcastle and Bristol and elsewhere (mainly UK) in connection with the role.
Purpose of the post
This role will have a particular focus on managing the HDRUK contribution to our partnership with the EPSRC Digital Health Hubs in the South West and Wales (LEAP) and the North West and North Cumbria (NortHfutures) which aim to drive innovation in digital health by promoting knowledge and skills sharing across healthcare, academia and business but there will be opportunities and a requirement to contribute to the wider training offer and strategy.

Responsibilities
You will work in close collaboration with the LEAP and NortHfutures Digital Health Hubs to:
1) Support the delivery of the Skills and Training Work Packages on each Hub. Administering funding and commissioning training, based on identified need in each region. Supporting funding awardees to deliver training projects. Managing training and capacity building events e.g. contributions to conferences, academic Summer Schools.
2) On the NortHFutures Hub: contributing to the governance of the Skills and Training Work Package, including coordinating quarterly working group meetings, regularly reporting to the NortHFutures leadership, participation as part of the NortHFutures Directorate. Representing HDR UK in each of these for and creating linkages between the NortHFutures partnership and HDR UK’s networksthat benefit the delivery and success of both initiatives.
3) On LEAP: Engagement in regular partnership meetings on the training and skills programme and meeting regularly with LEAP leadership and management team. Delivery of bespoke digital health training and capacity building offers and events.
4) Management of LEAP and NortHFutures Hubs involvement in HDR UK Black Internship Programme. Supporting securing of funding for hosts, recruitment of host organisations from amongst the Hub partnerships, delivery of funding awards for hosts, recruitment of interns for positions with hosts.
