Role Details:
This is a permanent, Full-time opportunity. We are happy for this role to be hybrid.
Your focus will be raising five-figure income from trusts and foundations to support our work, and to help deliver excellence in managing our wide range of relationships with Trusts and Foundations funders.
What we’re Looking For
We’re seeking organised and self-motivated person to support the Trusts and Foundations fundraising in our Philanthropy and Partnerships team, managing a pipeline of Trusts and Foundations prospects, collaborating with colleagues across the institute to deliver successful funding applications and steward a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations.
The right person will be able to make their mark in a vibrant Advancement team working for one of Britain’s foremost cultural institutes, utilising their excellent written and verbal communication skills as the Courtauld embarks on the most ambitious fundraising campaign in its history.

The Courtauld is a specialist university and home to the largest community of art historians and conservators in the UK. It offers a range of degree programmes in the History of Art, curating and the conservation of easel and wall paintings. The Courtauld cares for one of the greatest art collections in the UK, displayed at The Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House, central London.
The Courtauld works to advance how we see and understand the visual arts, as an internationally-renowned centre for the teaching, research of art history and a major public gallery. Founded in 1932, the organisation has been at the forefront of the study of art ever since.
Key responsibilities
Develop, write and submit high-quality funding applications, proposals and budgets that demonstrate the gallery and university’s needs, outcomes and achievements.
Work closely with the gallery and University teams to gather relevant information, evidence and stories for funding applications and funding applications and reports.
Regularly monitor trends in successful Trusts and Foundations fundraising activity, with a view to planning for future fundraising initiatives.
Work with our prospect researcher to identify and prioritise appropriate Trusts and Foundations to support The Courtauld’s fundraising focus and strategic priorities.
Support the Trusts, Foundations and Philanthropy Lead with Trusts and Foundations applications.
