About the Role
The Deputy Vice Principal (DVP) Education will be a senior, educational leader at Queen Mary. They will play a core leadership role in the delivery of this plan at Queen Mary. The postholder will act as a credible deputy for the Vice-Principal (Education). This will include working independently to set the vision of their area of delivery, taking ownership of university wide projects, and working to coach and mentor colleagues to deliver effectively in a distributed leadership environment. This role will sit as a senior member on the Education and Student Experience Leadership Team (ESELT).
About You
The postholder will provide strategic oversight of Queen Mary’s educational quality and standards.
This role will report to the Vice-Principal (Education) and regularly interact with academic and professional services leadership as part of the Education Senior Executive Leadership Team. A track record in educational leadership and scholarship is expected for this role, as well as a focus on continuous professional development, and the professional development of colleagues. Credibility amongst senior educational and professional services colleagues will be paramount, as well as an ability to work in a collegial fashion.
