Annual Leave: 30 days (pro rata) plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: de Havilland Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the University’s Open Research Team and drive innovation in research systems, analytics, and open access. As the Open Research Team Manager you’ll champion open research, ensure compliance with funder policies, and support preparations for the Research Excellence Framework (REF). Collaborate across departments, manage key projects, and strengthen partnerships with external organisations. Oversee the University’s research information systems and the UH Press and support the delivery of training to empower researchers at all levels.
Skills and experience required
Proven leadership experience in research support or scholarly communications is essential. You will have experience managing research systems or analytics in an academic setting in addition to strong data and project management skills.
Qualifications required
You will have a degree or equivalent professional skills and knowledge through practice. A relevant professional qualification in library and information, research systems, open research/scholarly communications management, or substantial relevant experience is essential.
