Join the Royal College of Art, the world’s leading university for art & design, as an Administrator in the prestigious School of Architecture. We are looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to provide essential administrative support across our postgraduate programmes, ensuring excellence in education and an unrivalled student experience. This is a full time role, fixed term until end July 2026, hybrid working available with minimum 3 days on campus.
Purpose of the Role:
You will work across all aspects of programme administration, including admissions, marketing, timetabling, student support, records, assessment, events, & finance. Acting as a key point of contact for staff, students, & external partners, you will manage queries sensitively and efficiently, while supporting day-to-day operations, key academic events, and committee administration.
The postholder will help coordinate and maintain teaching timetables, manage student lifecycle processes, and contribute to the planning and delivery of open days, lecture series, and School shows. You’ll also play a vital role in supporting staff research, executive education & special academic projects, working closely with academic leads, the Research Office and external partners.
You’ll be a confident communicator and problem solver with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. With experience in a busy, customer-focused environment—ideally in higher education—you’ll be proficient with databases and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, and comfortable using finance systems such as Agresso.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and creative environment where your contributions will support world-class architecture education and research.
Who We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, with experience in a busy academic or professional environment. You should be highly organised, with an eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills are essential, as is a proactive and problem-solving approach. Experience with financial systems such as Agresso is desirable.
Why Join Us? As part of the Royal College of Art, you will work in a creative & dynamic environment, supporting some of the brightest minds in art and design. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class postgraduate programmes and be part of an institution that has been ranked as the number one university for art and design globally.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact on postgraduate education.
