The Role
We are looking for an ERP Specialist to take ownership of our ERP systems, ensuring they deliver maximum value across Finance, Procurement, HR, and Payroll. This is a critical role that blends technical expertise, business analysis, and stakeholder management to optimise processes, drive efficiency, and support the university’s strategic goals.

You will act as the bridge between operational teams, Digital Services, and external suppliers, ensuring ERP services meet business needs while identifying opportunities for improvement. This role combines elements of product management, systems optimisation, and service delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, process enhancement, and working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end ERP service delivery for Finance, Procurement, HR, and Payroll, ensuring alignment with business requirements and organisational standards.
  • Lead process improvements by analysing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing ERP system enhancements.
  • Manage supplier relationships, acting as the primary contact for service issues and negotiating cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop performance metrics to monitor service quality, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, resolve issues, and deliver training/support.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, applying best practices to keep our ERP systems modern, secure, and efficient.
  • Line manage the Business Operations Service Centre Agent Team, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality support for escalated queries.

About You (You Will Have)

  • Proven ERP experience in Finance, Procurement, HR, or Payroll modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Project/service delivery experience, with a track record of leading improvements and managing suppliers.
  • Problem-solving mindset, comfortable troubleshooting complex issues and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Leadership skills, with experience in mentoring or managing team members.

Why Join Brunel?

  • Play a key role in shaping ERP strategy at a leading university.
  • Generous annual leave plus discretionary closure days.
  • Excellent training, development, and pension schemes.
  • Hybrid working approach.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Interviews to be held: w/c 1 September 2025.
