Our Public Services team is passionate about delivering high-quality education to students aged 16 and over, preparing them for meaningful careers in sectors such as policing, fire and rescue, the armed forces, and emergency services. We work collaboratively to create an engaging learning environment that encourages personal development, high achievement, and progression. The team actively works with local employers and public service organisations to create valuable opportunities for student placements, work experience, and career progression.
About the Role
As a Lecturer in Public Services, you will design and deliver stimulating and relevant lessons that inspire and motivate learners. You will provide high-quality developmental feedback to support student progress and help them achieve their full potential. Your role includes developing and managing specific programmes, acting as a course leader, and leading internal verification processes where needed. You will work closely with public service employers and external partners to facilitate work placements and real-world learning experiences, enhancing students’ career prospects. You will contribute to curriculum development, participate in recruitment and outreach events, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and quality assurance standards.
This role is part time, 0.5 FTE (18.5 hours per week).
Anticipated interview date: Friday 5th September 2025
About You

You are skilled at providing constructive, developmental feedback to support student growth. You have strong organisational and communication skills, can work both independently and collaboratively, and are committed to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity. Experience working with public service employers to create learning and placement opportunities is highly desirable, as is assessor/verifier qualification or programme leadership experience.
