We are open to applications in all areas of pure and applied mathematics; those working in more applied areas with real-world applications are particularly encouraged to apply.
Associate Professorships are permanent appointments and usually for those who already have a well-established track record in research and significant lecturing experience. Those appointed at the Assistant level are supported through a five-year probationary period to enable them to fulfil the criteria for promotion to Associate Professor.
About You
All applicants should hold a PhD and have already demonstrated excellence and independence in research along with an ability to teach effectively.
We aim to appoint somebody who can make a strong contribution to both our research and our teaching, and who will make the most of the opportunities provided by our lively and vibrant departmental culture.
