Working Pattern: Full Time – 35 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity within Engineering & Maintenance for someone with a proven track record of leading and developing infrastructure and statutory mechanical maintenance services, to ensure the compliance of a vibrant University estate which offers a world-class, unique experience to those who learn, work and visit here.
The team is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Manager with a solid understanding of building systems, infrastructure, excellent communication skills, and project management experience.
You will be in a campus wide role, responsible for providing the maintenance needs of the estate, identifying areas of improvement, supporting a team of maintenance managers and technicians, and managing the integration of capital and major refurbishment works to ensure a compliant resilient estate.
You need to be self-motivated and have the ability to inspire high performance in others, as well as demonstrating effective working independently and as part of the delivery team. In addition to skills in writing technical specifications, managing contractors and creative problem solving, the role will require you to have a good understanding of large scale infrastructure and building services.
