Job description:
We seek to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Support Technician with a keen interest in life sciences. You will provide high quality core technical support to staff and students within the School of Medicine and Population Health. You will be responsible for supporting laboratory-based activities, contributing to the School's research and teaching objectives and priorities. You will provide general laboratory housekeeping, experimental research and teaching support duties, ensuring good Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times. You will be part of a large and dedicated team of core technical staff spread across two Divisions (Clinical Medicine and Neuroscience), working under the guidance of senior technical colleagues.
The School of Medicine and Population Health brings together a wide range of research and teaching strengths in pre-clinical, clinical and translational medicine. The School is actively building a strong forward looking and sustainable strategy with the aspiration to have sustainable, internationally excellent teaching and research in our research areas of interest, which include Neuroscience, Oncology, Cardiopulmonary Diseases, Infection and Inflammation, Musculoskeletal and Endocrinology research.
