CLOSER, the home of longitudinal research, is the interdisciplinary partnership of leading social and biomedical longitudinal population studies. About the role

In this important role, the key objectives are to:

  • Build relationships between scientists, and policymakers and parliamentarians
  • Raise visibility and awareness of longitudinal population studies among policymakers and parliamentarians
  • Ensure evidence from longitudinal population studies influences policy development, through effective communication with policymakers and parliamentarians
  • Ensure the effective dissemination of the research and products produced by CLOSER and its partners to a wide range of external policy stakeholders and audiences.

This post is available until 30th September 2028 in the first instance.

About you

You will have experience of working in UK and/or devolved parliaments, governments (any level) or in a public affairs role, along with a successful track record of engaging and influencing different levels of government, parliament and other policy audiences.

You will also have knowledge of the policy landscape relevant to the biomedical and social sciences, such as health (physical, mental, public), education, employment, poverty and inequality, families and parenting, children’s issues or ageing.
