The Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science conducts cutting-edge research and seeks an inspirational teacher to join the team supporting our leading BSc in Psychological and Behavioural Science. The post holder will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through high-quality teaching and participating in departmental activities. The principal teaching focus will be on the core foundational course in psychological science.
The post holder will play a major role in the success of the BSc in Psychological and Behavioural Science by teaching and examining undergraduate students, acting as an academic adviser, and providing pastoral care. Key responsibilities also include contributing to course and programme administration and supervising Graduate Teaching Assistants.
Candidates must have a completed PhD in Psychology or a highly related cognate area; have strong evidence of experience teaching courses in psychology, methods, and statistics or a related field with evidence of high performance; and experience with programme and/or course management and administration.
Whilst not an essential criterion, candidates ideally show strong evidence of a developing record of high quality research in psychology or a heavily related field and a clear and viable strategy for future research.
