Do you have a pragmatic and flexible approach? If yes, we are keen to hear from you.

We are seeking to appoint a new inspirational and strategic leader as Deputy Director of Procurement within the Finance Function, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

You will support the Chief Financial Officer in the management of the procurement function, shaping and supporting the strategic development of procurement across the University, making a significant contribution to University strategy and policy in relation to financial sustainability and value for money.

Likely to have significant procurement leadership experience with at least several years in a senior leadership role, we are looking for applicants with a track record of achievement in leading procurement transformation change with the intellectual and professional standing required to command respect within the university community. Applicants should have strong category knowledge in areas such as IT, Estates, Facilities Management and professional services. We are looking for individuals with strong technical understanding of the end to end procurement process including strategic sourcing and standard sourcing methodologies and an extensive knowledge of sustainable procurement practices and delivery of supplier relationship management initiatives.
