We're UCL: a diverse community with the freedom to challenge and think differently. From cancer research to climate change, dementia to social inequality, the world is facing huge challenges — and we’re determined to solve them.
There has never been a more exciting time to join the Advancement office as we plan for our biggest ever fundraising and engagement campaign and support the delivery of the bicentennial programme in 2026. We are a team of ambitious, creative and passionate individuals who work together to achieve remarkable things with a global impact, and we’d love for you to be part of this journey and our success.
Equity, diversity and inclusion are important to us. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone is encouraged to give their best, and where their unique experiences, perspectives and skills are seen as valuable assets.

About the role
As the Senior Planning & Performance Manager, you will support the coordination of campaign management and annual planning, and oversee relationship management and reporting for our strategic capital projects.
This role will be the linchpin in our planning activity, ensuring that our complex programme of work, particularly in relation to the campaign, delivers on our ambitious objectives.
You will also manage high-level partnerships, track performance, and represent Advancement on Project Boards and Working Groups as appropriate.
This is a new role in a growing Planning & Performance team, offering the opportunity to shape how we work. We are facilitators, problem-solvers and choreographers, playing a key role in enabling efficiency, best practice and effective relationship management.

About you
You will bring strong programme and project management skills and can apply them in a flexible, thoughtful way to meet the department’s needs. You will also understand the importance of strong relationship management — with both internal and external stakeholders — and have experience with high-level administration.
You will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You can manage both programmes and people, and are collaborative, communicative, accountable and understanding.
You can manage your time and workload independently, while delivering outcomes to a high standard. You are confident assimilating information quickly and representing Advancement professionally in appropriate forums.
We are pleased to accept applications from individuals with transferable skills and experience from outside the Higher Education sector.
