The Faculty of Architecture and History of Art is seeking to appoint a Postgraduate Course Administrator to join our friendly Professional Services team. This role provides an opportunity to be part of a supportive Faculty, proactive in providing training and career development opportunities for all staff.
It is an exciting time to join the postgraduate office, with a new MPhil in the Global History of Art and Architecture expecting its first students in October 2026. The post-holder will play a key role in supporting these students, as well as the postgraduate community more broadly.
Applications are invited from candidates who are interested in both part-time and full-time positions. It is envisioned that this role will require a minimum of 21.9 hours per week (0.6FTE), but anything up to 36.5 hours per week (1FTE) will be considered.
The Postgraduate Course Administrator will undertake postgraduate course administration, primarily, although not exclusively, linked to the Department of History of Art. In an average week the postholder will (in no particular order):
This role would suit a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both in verbal and written form - who enjoys working as part of a team. The professional services team, as well as the wider faculty, is a vibrant and diverse community who welcome varying viewpoints to ensure the best support for students and staff. Discretion and the ability to listen to others and to handle confidential information/disclosures is an important part of this role, and experience of this is desirable.
Experience in an administrative role and excellent IT skills are essential, and any specific knowledge of University of Cambridge administrative systems and processes would be advantageous.
