The S P Jain London School of Management (SPJL) is now seeking a self-motivated and flexible individual as Dean to oversee the growth and development of the School. SPJL is a new OfS registered Business school which started operations in September 2023 following the award of new degree awarding powers and a UKVI licence. The School is a part of the SP Jain Group whose futuristic approach has led to campuses in Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney as well as a University in California. SPJL provides global learning opportunities in person to our home and international students and online programmes using our innovative Engaged Learning Online platform.
The state-of-the-art campus is located in Canary Wharf. We are rapidly growing our student numbers and gaining traction for our multi-city learning model for both undergraduates and postgraduates.
We aim to be ahead of the curve and are introducing innovative AI tools to support learning. This together with our proactive approach to employability, industry focussed curriculum and projects helps ensure that our students are job ready.
The new Dean will provide strategic and academic leadership at the SP Jain London School of Management, ensuring excellence in teaching, research, academic standards, and student experience. The postholder will play a pivotal role in delivering SP Jain’s vision of technology-led, globally oriented education leading to excellent employability, while contributing to its international reputation. The Dean will foster strong engagement with industry and external stakeholders.
Profile requirements.
You will be self-reliant and flexible with demonstrable experience of strategic academic leadership in a business school, as well as the skills to be able to lead and develop a young higher education institution. You will be committed to a continuous improvement and the delivery an excellent student experience using technology led innovations. You will have the ability to represent SPJL externally to build its brand and corporate engagement with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
As well as academic credentials and a research profile, you will need experience of programme development and delivery and the associated quality assurance process and procedures. You should be well versed with UK HE sector quality and standards and regulatory requirements, in particular the OfS Regulatory Framework
