The School of Social and Political Sciences is looking to recruit a Research Assistant to contribute to the Changing Realities Project working with Professor Ruth Patrick and team on this innovative participatory research project which works with parents on a low-income to document life on a low-income and to push for change. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
Candidates should have specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of social policy, with a specific knowledge on poverty, social security systems and participatory methods. They should also have experience of conducting participatory research.
