You’ll implement and maintain a range of security controls across our hosting and application environments, helping protect critical services from threats and vulnerabilities.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience in Linux environments and a keen interest in security. Whether you're already working in cyber security or looking to transition from a broader infrastructure role, we’re looking for someone ready to grow and contribute to our expanding security function.
You’ll also log your work through our service management systems, support project delivery, and occasionally assist with general platform support tasks when required.
The ideal candidate will possess:

This is a fully remote role. However, you will need to attend the office on specific days for all staff meetings which take place approximately every quarter. You may also be required to occasionally attend training or attend meetings at customer institutions.
The University of London is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive working environment where we can all be ourselves and succeed. We particularly encourage applications from members of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities as this group is currently under-represented at all levels within the University.
