About the Role 

The Senior Library Assistant role is an exciting new role which plays a vital role in shaping the experience of students and staff at Goldsmiths, delivering high-quality, customer-focused library services. 

This position is based within one of the following teams: 

  • Academic Enrichment and Skills Development 
  • Library Experience 
  • Open Research 
  • Systems and Content 

The postholder will maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise in the work of their designated team, including administrative responsibilities and support for Library Assistants. They will also act as a daily supervisor, ensuring the smooth running of service points and day-to-day library operations.

About the Candidate  

You will be a collaborative and adaptable professional with experience in libraries, information services, or customer service environments. You will bring the ability to take responsibility for day-to-day service supervision, ensuring smooth and effective operations. 

Your exemplary communication skills will enable you to work successfully across teams, support colleagues, resolve complex enquiries, and build strong working relationships to help deliver high-quality services. Confident in administration, you will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and bring strong data handling and analysis capabilities.
