We wish to recruit a University Teacher in Environmental Sciences to provide teaching cover for 18 months. The post would support lecture, laboratory and field-based teaching in Environmental Sciences with a focus on marine sciences. Specifically, the post would be required to deliver existing material within modules in marine pollution alongside tutorials and projects taught within BSc and MSc degree programmes in Ocean Sciences, Marine Biology and Environmental Science, alongside field work in Marine Sciences. You would interact with between 40 and 150 students across a variety of modules in different academic settings. You would provide pastoral care for tutor groups, maintain contact with students within modules as well as set and mark assessments. You would be expected to supervise BSc and MSc research projects. You should have a PhD in relevant disciplines.
The post is available for 18 months at 0.5 FTE. To support flexible working arrangements, the terms of the post may be negotiated to offer 0.75 FTE during university term time only.
