About the Opportunity
We are seeking highly qualified sessional lecturers to deliver exceptional teaching across our MSc Business and Management programs. These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to our dynamic academic community while sharing expertise with the next generation of business leaders.
Modules Available
We invite applications from candidates with expertise in one or more of the following subject areas:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and tutorials for assigned modules (face-to-face)
- Develop and author course materials, including digital and blended learning resources
- Undertake academic duties such as assessment and resit design, marking and feedback, moderation, dissertation supervision, academic integrity processes (e.g., malpractice hearings and viva assessments), and peer observation of teaching
- Provide academic support and pastoral guidance to MSc students through various formats (e.g., office hours, emails, workshops)
- Act as a personal tutor, supporting students’ academic progress, wellbeing, and professional development
- Participate in programme development, review, and quality assurance processes
- Contribute to curriculum design, review, and enhancement across multiple programmes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject-specific developments, industry trends, and pedagogical best practices
Essential Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline (completed or near completion)
- Strong academic background in one or more of the specified subject areas
- Demonstrated teaching ability and experience in higher education
- Curriculum design and course authoring experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging face-to-face instruction
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse academic environment
- The ability to meet the UK right to work requirements
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching at postgraduate level
- Experience with virtual learning environments (VLE)
- Industry experience relevant to the subject area
- Possession of a higher education teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert, FHEA)
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Professional certifications or memberships in relevant fields
- Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and educational technology
