About The Role
The Fashion and Textiles Institute are looking for a Associate Lecturer to teach primarily on to the BA(Hons) Fashion Photography course, with the opportunity to deliver on the BA(Hons) Fashion Styling & Art Direction program of study. You will foster a supportive and forward-thinking learning environment where ideas and creativity thrive. The successful candidates will build on the international reputation of Falmouth University and contribute to the delivery of the course through the provision of inspiring and supporting learning opportunities, providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for both students and colleagues. The role will enhance professional, academic and research partnerships to ensure that the course anticipates the changing needs of the global fashion communication industry, commerce, and society at large.
Creative and highly motivated, you’ll be experienced in the challenges of enabling diverse student cohorts to explore the discipline of fashion image-making, to reach their full potential.
About You
The ideal candidate will have an extensive contemporary industry practise, with a substantial portfolio, which could include Fashion Photography, Fashion Filmmaker, Art Direction, New Technologist/Digital Spaces, Publishing Editor working for leading fashion editorial publications and brands. Your knowledge and direct experience in the creative fields for fashion storytelling within a contemporary and diverse space will be paramount. You will be able to demonstrate an expansive knowledge of multicultural/global fashion and see the importance of this perspective as a visionary 21st Century practitioner.
