The College is seeking to recruit a strong administrator with previous project coordination experience to facilitate the rollout of a new VR platform developed at the multi-award-winning, Immersive Technology Lab, based at Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge.

The first-of-its-kind virtual reality platform transforms users into skilled and confident public speakers. The virtual reality platform has been successfully developed, trialled, and launched. It has since appeared in over 100 media outlets, it is used in over 100 countries, and it has hosted over 100,000 practice presentations. It is now primed for strategic rollout and scaleup.

The Project Coordinator will facilitate the rollout of the platform at the University of Cambridge. This will involve liaising with key stakeholders across the University to ensure seamless platform integration. They will lead on student engagement and will organise the onboarding sessions, presentation events, and focus groups to guide the data-driven iterative process.

You will have previous experience of organising and running events, as well as excellent communication skills. Working as part of a small team, you will be passionate about helping people with speech anxiety and strive for excellence.

In return we can offer a benefits package including:

  • 36 days holiday, pro rata for part time (inclusive of Christmas closure and bank holidays)
  • Free meals on shift
  • A 6% employer contributory pension scheme
  • Free car parking (if available)
  • Life assurance x3 salary
  • A health cash back scheme

Speech anxiety affects 80% of students and it negatively impacts their well-being, academic attainment, and career progression. Accordingly, your role will have a profoundly positive impact; you will be proactively increasing the number of people who receive this life-changing treatment.
