The Melanoma team within the Division of Cancer Sciences wish to appoint a Translational Research Programme Manager (Maternity Cover).
The Programme Manager will lead at a senior level, facilitating the set up and running of set up and delivery of a broad portfolio of national and international investigator led studies, translational research projects and funding applications.

This complex role includes responsibility for supervising the overall programme management, financial oversight and management, administration and support of its governance and delivery plans, as well as ongoing identification of opportunities and mitigation of risks to ensure that the portfolio is as successful as possible.
The programme manager is leading the organisation of an inaugural Melanoma Research conference (Lab to Life: Innovations in Melanoma) to be hosted in Manchester in March 2026. This involves overall responsibility for logistics, communications, and financial management. The programme manager is also a member of and facilitates the Manchester Melanoma researcher’s forum, where melanoma researchers from organisations across Manchester meet to share research and coordinate research strategy.
This role requires excellent communication and use of initiative with the post holder ensuring that all University, NHS, Clinical Trial Units and wider Institute policies & procedures are adhered to within their specified area of responsibility.
