About the role
The Institute of Sustainability and Climate Change is a Research Institute that integrates physical, social and systems sciences at Bath and develops leaders in tackling critical sustainability issues. The Institute aims to deliver novel chemical technologies and robust behavioural solutions, brought together through whole system evaluation to reframe problems and create transformative innovation in sustainability and climate change. The Institute currently involves around 80 academics, a cohort of 70 PhD students, and a research income of more than £25M.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Coordinator who will be responsible for shaping the Institute’s communications and engagement strategy and devising and implementing communication plans.
This will entail enhancing how the Institute’s research and other initiatives are presented externally, as well as delivering a wide range of communications and engagement activities that will help to inform, inspire, involve and influence our external and internal audiences.
You will work closely with the Institute’s Manager, Operations Director and Academic Directors, liaise with Institute members and communicate effectively with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders to create new content on sustainability and climate change research.
The role involves providing dedicated support in digital technologies for research and communications for the Institute’s community, including staff, students, and external partners. This includes the “outward facing” aspects of this large Institute, for example, web and social media presence, press releases and liaison with academic, industrial, policy and public communities.
