The Department of Psychology at Durham University seeks to appoint a talented individual to the role of Assistant Professor in Psychology. The post is open to applicants from all areas of Psychology. However, the appointed individual will be required to undertake some teaching in forensic psychology.

Applicants must demonstrate research excellence in the field of Psychology. The ideal candidate will have a background in Psychology or related areas.

The successful applicant will join a Top 10 Psychology Department in the UK, ranked Top 100 globally: https://www.dur.ac.uk/departments/academic/psychology/. The Department of Psychology is an internationally recognised centre of research excellence and interdisciplinarity across the breadth of psychological and behavioural science. The Department’s research is organised in three major groupings: Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Science, and Quantitative Social Psychology. Each group leads a taught Master’s programme, ensuring that our research strengths inform and inspire the next generation of scholars. The Department is also home to several University Research Centres, which draw together staff from within the Department, the wider University, and the region to address key research issues.
