- THE ROLE –

As a member of the University's Web Technical Team, the main purpose of the post will be to lead the technical development and architecture of our Drupal-based web platforms. The role involves managing complex web development projects, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable web solutions. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders across the University to understand requirements and implement effective technical solutions.

The post holder should demonstrate excellent technical leadership skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience in full stack development. They should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, providing technical guidance and maintaining high coding standards. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is essential.

This role will:

  • - Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise-level Drupal applications, ensuring best practices in security, performance, and scalability

 

  • - Design and implement complex backend systems using PHP and Drupal 10 to support university web services.

 

  • - Develop and maintain front-end solutions with TypeScript, Twig, and Tailwind CSS, following responsive design principles.

 

  • - Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers, including code reviews and best practice guidance
