The School of Critical Studies seeks to appoint a part-time fixed term Lecturer in English Literature (Learning, Teaching and Scholarship track) to provide teaching cover for Dr Gavin Miller while he is Principal Investigator on a Leverhulme Trust Research Project Grant. You will hold a PhD and must have previous teaching experience in Higher Education. You will deliver an excellent student experience by contributing to teaching, assessment and administration processes associated with undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The knowledge and experience to contribute to current provision by teaching one or more of science fiction, literature and medicine, and/or post-war literature is desirable. There may be opportunities also to supervise at undergraduate and MA level in areas relating to your expertise. This post is teaching only, and there is no expectation of REF eligibility.
This post is part-time (5.5 hours per week – 0.16FTE), and open ended with funding available for up to 30th September 2026 in the first instance, with the post holder available to commence 1st October 2025. The post holder will be required to be physically resident within a reasonable commuting distance of the University of Glasgow.
