An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new fixed-term position of Digital Projects Officer. Working closely with the Institute Administrator/ Deputy, you will help develop, automate and streamline the Institute’s administrative processes, engaging with a variety of internal stakeholders including the Health and Safety Manager, the Building Manager and the WIMM Grants Officer.

Duties will include working to deadlines to review existing filing systems, documents and templates to create new digital solutions. You will be responsible for managing discrete projects from inception to delivery. You will support the core administrative staff at the MRC WIMM to develop digital solutions that will improve the consistency of our processes and have a lasting impact on the accuracy and control of our record keeping relating to a wide number of areas including grant applications, outside appointments, IT information assets, and building maintenance contracts.

The role would suit someone with strong administration skills and an interest in continuous improvement. You will have significant experience of managing projects together with experience in using CoPilot, ChatGPT, Gemini Pro or other AI tools. You will have highly accurate data entry skills and excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues from diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

The position is full time (part time considered) and is available fixed-term for 12 months.

This post would be suitable for an internal secondment.
