We are seeking an enthusiastic independent prescribing pharmacist with expertise in applied pharmacy practice to join our team and contribute to teaching of undergraduate and foundation programmes run by the Department of Pharmacy. You will plan, develop and deliver high quality and innovative teaching and assessments in collaboration with a team of academics to deliver a vibrant education to our students that can be translated into real-world skills. The appointed candidate will also help support our growing experiential learning program and play a key role in calculation teaching and assessment. The role will require some administrative responsibilities and the supervision of undergraduate research projects.
The Person
You must have an MPharm degree or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council with experience within one or multiple sectors of UK pharmacy or medical practice. You must also be a qualified independent prescriber. Teaching experience or qualification is desirable. The candidate needs to be able to engage with a diverse range of students to motivate and inspire them to perform at their best and be able to work within a team with other staff and colleagues in the School and Faculty.
Applicants must meet Kingston University’s learning and teaching standards. By the end of probation, you must achieve the relevant UKPSF recognition if not already obtained—either through our accredited Introduction to Learning and Teaching programme for new lecturers or the Kingston Academic Practice Standards framework for experienced educators.
