The Role
The successful candidate will undertake a range of tasks covering data collection, recording and analysis that support the delivery of the university’s degree apprenticeship programmes, and for use in compliance reporting. You will provide administrative support for the organisation and presentation of data reports for use by University and Faculty committees, and by different functional teams within the Central Apprenticeships Team.
You will support other general day-to-day administrative processes within the Central Apprenticeships Team that relate to enquiry handling, customer service, data gathering, and employer liaison.
The Person
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Degree Apprenticeship Team, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. You will ideally hold an L4 – L6 qualification in a relevant subject. Having experience in a similar role within an apprenticeship training provider would be preferable or possess highly relevant and transferable skills. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for fostering good relationships with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders. As a person dealing with various individuals, you will be able to communicate effectively and professionally.
Proficiency in essential software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is expected. Additionally, if you have experience using student information management systems, such as Aptem, PICs, BUD or SITS, this is desirable. A robust and accurate understanding of apprenticeship funding and regulatory framework requirements will be beneficial as this forms the basis of the compliance element of the role in which a genuine interest is required.
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads effectively is paramount. Adaptability in a fast-paced environment is essential. Maintaining confidentiality of student and employer data is imperative along with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in every aspect of your tasks. Good analytical skills and the ability to interpret data clearly and logically is a valuable asset, providing insight that can drive business improvements.
Interviews are expected to be held on Tuesday, 21 October 2025.
For informal enquiries, please contact Mrs Sylvia Roberts Law, Degree Apprenticeships Compliance Manager.
