The Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research (OCEMR) is a newly funded research centre to conduct world class research that contributes to a world where differences between children and young people are understood and accepted, strengths are capitalised on, and mental health difficulties are prevented or addressed early in life. The centre incorporates more than 10 research groups and over 100 research staff and students.
The Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research Business Manager role is a new management position within the Departments of Experimental Psychology and Psychiatry. The post-holder will assume administrative responsibility for financial, HR and other administrative matters and will be the key point of knowledge and advice for the OCEMR administration and wider teams.
The position is full-time and fixed term (until September 2030).
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with proven effective line management and complex project management experience. Substantial experience in a large, complex environment with proven and demonstrable technical accounting skills, including budgeting and planning and a thorough understanding of the requirements of an academic department is also required along with research grants management experience. Experience using X5 and People XD Systems, a recognised accountancy qualification or being at the final stage of study for such a qualification, and experience of working in the Higher Education sector in a research-intensive organisation would be an advantage.
