Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge is seeking to appoint an Archivist to manage, catalogue, preserve, and promote the College’s archives, manuscripts, early printed and special collections. The archivist will develop and implement best-practice archival procedures and policies, enable scholarly and institutional use of the collections, and showcase the College’s heritage for both an internal and external audience. The post would particularly suit a candidate whose research interests align with the College’s holdings, and with a commitment to integrating digital-at-birth materials within the College archives.
This is a part-time, permanent post involving 26.25 hours per week. The salary is based between points 37 and 42 of the University’s single salary spine, currently equating between £33,482 - £38,249 per annum pro rata dependent on experience, annual cost of living pay rise pending.
Benefits include entitlement to holiday pay equal to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata; an excellent contributory pension scheme provided by the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), free College meals when on duty and free membership of the College gym facilities.
