The School building is listed and was constructed in a dramatic and modern design behind retained façade of the original Addenbrooke's Hospital The School has office accommodation, five lecture theatres, 16 seminar and meeting rooms, a dedicated dining room, a common room providing a social and meeting space as well as student project and syndicate rooms, an information centre and a computer lab. The School also occupies all floors of the neighbouring Keynes House along with five houses in Trumpington Street.
We are looking for a proactive and reliable individual to join our Facilities team as Senior Custodian to support the smooth running of our building operations. The role holder will carry out duties including meeting room set ups, office moves, basic cleaning and security. Further responsibilities comprise sorting and distributing mail, assisting on minor building maintenance, and light supervision of contractors.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have worked in a similar role, have basic IT literacy although training will be given in the use of the computer systems used. They will have technical aptitude and the ability to work with minimal supervisions and successfully as part of a team. Good communication and time keeping skills are essential and being highly motivated, conscientious and honest is prerequisite for this role.
The post holder will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern that includes mornings, evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the School. This is a full-time position of 36.5 hours per week.
