Applications are invited for a temporary, part-time (40% FTE), 24 months teaching cover Lectureship in Microbiology in the School of Environmental and Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will be a motivated Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship, T&S) who will contribute to microbiology teaching at undergraduate level. The successful candidate will join an active and enthusiastic group T&S team passionate about quality teaching and pastoral support.
Applicants should have a PhD (or near to completion) in a microbiology-related area and have an enthusiasm for teaching and enhancing the student experience. We particularly welcome candidates working in the areas of virology, mycology, bacteriology, microbial ecology, and medical microbiology. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake teaching in classroom and laboratory settings.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor and the balance of duties will vary throughout the year, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence in October 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
