A vacancy has arisen for the role of Head of Maintenance.
This presents an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills and experience to shape and influence the future direction and provision of the estate’s campus services function at the Royal Veterinary College.
The Head of Maintenance Services will undertake a key management role responsible for defining and implementing strategies and processes to strengthen the delivery of the Infrastructure Service Directorate (ISD) strategy to support teaching, learning and business needs of academic faculties and services while maintaining a customer centric approach.
The post holder will be accountable for all aspects of the maintenance service delivery at the Royal Veterinary College’s (RVC’s) Hawkshead and Camden campuses including oversight of the maintenance team, maintenance contracts and contractor management.
We are seeking candidates that can lead, motivate, and develop hard service managers in line with the College’s policies and procedures, ensuring a flexible and efficient approach to the management, delivery, and administration of facilities services. You and your team will ensure that third party contracts and internal service levels are reviewed, monitored and tendered in line with agreed standards, and best practice and will work collaboratively in order to provide a high level of customer service, deliver cost-effective solutions, strive for continuous improvement and aim to provide immediate solutions.
The role holder will lead a positive Health & Safety culture, by applying an up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation ensuring the highest safety standards and full regulatory compliance. Agree and maintain health and safety procedure for hard services and ensure that the team, contractors, and others always adhere to these and the College’s health and safety policies.
