The role

Are you looking for a new challenge as our Cyber Security Book of Knowledge (CyBOK) Partnerships and Engagement Manager?

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded to drive new revenue opportunities in support of CyBOK’s transition to a Community Interest Company (CIC). Join us at the University of Bristol to help shape CyBOK’s growth and future direction as a self-sustaining community focused organisation.

CyBOK is at the forefront of advancing cyber security, providing a comprehensive Body of Knowledge to support education and professional training across the sector. 

The CIC will continue to support CyBOK’s mission, helping address the sector’s workforce gap and ensuring that cyber security skills are based on strong knowledge foundations.

As the CyBOK CIC Partnerships and Engagement Manager, you will collaborate with the CyBOK Executive Board to identify and secure new opportunities for revenue and strategic growth.

You will work closely with the existing CyBOK team and will be hosted in the Industry Partnerships team. This is a hybrid role, you will be expected to work from University of Bristol offices 2 or more days a week.

What will you be doing?

You will:

  • Drive new revenue opportunities to support CyBOK’s transition to a CIC.
  • Act as the go-to person for industry engagement, representing the CyBOK CIC with credibility and confidence, and advising university colleagues on partnership development.
  • Build strong relationships with a wide range of potential collaborators and companies, and actively engage with relevant networks and industry bodies to raise CyBOK’s profile.
  • Work with the DREI Partnerships team.
  • Operate at the interface of academia and industry, facilitating meaningful collaborations and confidently engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stay informed on the cyber security landscape, maintaining a current understanding of CyBOK’s position and potential within the sector.
  • Analyse data and trends, producing insightful reports that inform decision-making and highlight opportunities across industrial sectors.
