The School of Cancer Sciences is looking for a Research Assistant/Associate, based within the laboratory of Professor Julia Cordero.
You will contribute to a project studying interorgan signaling coordinated by the adult intestine in health and disease. Research involves using Drosophila as a primary model system with translation into genetically engineered mouse models.
The successful candidate will be expected to apply to external sources of personal funding and contribute to group efforts towards submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
This position is full time and has funding for 12 months from start date. Possible extension to the initial 12-month period will be discussed with the Group Leader based on funding availability.
