Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range £47,389 to £56,535 with potential progression once in post to £63,606
Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor in Bacterial Genomics, based at the Department of Microbes, Infection and Microbiomes. The Department sits within the School of Infection, Inflammation and Immunology, and is aligned to the University’s Institute of Microbiology and Infection, a grouping of over 50 independent principal investigators and one of the largest communities of academic microbiologists in the world of microbiology. The successful candidate will contribute to research, teaching, and administration, as well as supporting management and administration at Departmental and School level. They will have a strong track record of applying and/or developing models, techniques and methods in the fields of microbial genomics, particularly to study human microbiomes, antimicrobial resistance and/or bacterial pathogenesis, including the application of artificial intelligence tools.
