Ready to make an impact in Higher Education? We’re seeking an Executive Officer to support our Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) Manuel Barcia on his strategic international work.
This is an integral role combining executive assistance with strategic engagement, attending meetings, drafting reports, and representing the PVC in various capacities, both locally and internationally. Your work will directly impact the delivery of University strategy.

This is an exciting time to join the Vice-Chancellor’s Office as the Senior Management Team focus on delivery of the University Strategy and to enable the PVC-GE to pursue and drive their objectives and KPIs. It is anticipated that the role will evolve and it is therefore essential that the post-holder has a flexible approach and the ability to be proactive in helping to manage the PVC-GE’s workload, using initiative, sound judgement and creativity.
This is a stretching and varied post with the opportunity to grow for an ambitious, capable and self-motivated individual.
Some travel within the UK and internationally will be required for this role. You’ll benefit from a hybrid working pattern, with flexibility required for in-person meetings as needed. The role may require flexibility on working hours, during travel or for online meetings across international time zones.
