We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and people-focused individual to join our ResLife team as Private Accommodation Support Advisor. You’ll be at the forefront of our private housing support service, offering expert advice to resident students engaging with landlords, ensuring legal compliance, and enhancing student wellbeing through a range of community-based initiatives and events. If you have a passion for supporting students, housing policy, and engaging with collaborators, this is an excellent chance to create a significant influence.
As the Private Accommodation Support Advisor, you will manage and maintain the Private Housing database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of landlords and properties. You’ll provide tailored advice to our resident students seeking private accommodation , including those with complex needs, and serve as the primary point of contact for landlords, supporting them with reference requests.
Leading the development of our private support advice services, you will continuously improve the experience for both students and landlords. You’ll coordinate Housing Forums and House-Hunting events in collaboration with the Students’ Union, and stay informed of changes in housing legislation and policy to ensure our service remains compliant and effective.
The role also requires responding to enquiries via email, phone, and face-to-face, escalating issues when necessary.
